Adoption process

How to Adopt a Russian Blue Kitten

I'm Katerina, and I want the adoption process to feel personal and unhurried. Getting to know the kitten is important, but getting to know the family who will love them matters just as much. Here is how I approach that beginning.

Six thoughtful steps

From the first hello to homecoming.

  1. Get to know the kittens

Browse our available Russian Blue kittens and read their individual profiles. Photos may catch your eye, but their personalities and routines matter too. Ask me to confirm the kitten you are interested in is still available.

  2. Tell me a little about your home

Choose Adopt Now on the kitten's profile to see the three-step application. I want to know about your family, other pets, lifestyle, and what you're looking for in a companion. The online form still needs its secure email connection before it can send.

  3. Let's answer each other's questions

I may have a few questions for you, and I hope you'll ask me plenty in return. We can talk about your kitten's personality, care, parents, and what everyday life might look like together.

  4. Read the adoption contract

I work with a written adoption contract to protect both the kitten and the new owner. You are welcome to review the terms in advance, along with the available information about the parents. Read about my adoption policies.

  5. Discuss a visit and homecoming timing

Visits are by appointment and may be arranged from around three weeks of age when appropriate for the mother and kittens. My kittens normally move to their new homes at about 12 to 14 weeks or later, at least a week after their last kitten vaccination, once they're ready.

  6. Prepare a gentle welcome home

Before pickup, we'll discuss the kitten's individual care records and what you should bring. Set up a calm first room with familiar food, water, litter, bedding, and toys. Our new kitten care guide has practical ideas for the first few days.

Before any commitment

Clear information matters at every step.

The adoption contract can be reviewed in advance. Please ask for the current terms covering any reservation deposit, refunds, pickup arrangements, and veterinary documents before paying or making travel plans. My wish is for every family to feel comfortable with the agreement and with the kitten they welcome home.
